A OOAK art quilt designed using batik fabric, wool squares, repurposed hand dyed sweater & hand stitching. The overall piece is 19.5 inches square. The hand dyed wool squares are hand embroidered in a variety of decorative threads to the larger lavender wool. This wool is a repurposed vintage sweater that has also been hand dyed. The embellished work was then added to the batik quilt which has been hand quilted with decorative stitches.
This art quilt has an organic feel with the batik leaf pattern which was carried over into the hand stitching. Multiple shades of purple, orange, teal, and beige.
